This was done by employing a new technique that integrates optical detection and electronic excitation.

Philips Lumileds, a manufacturer of high-power LEDs, has declared the launch of a new white LED array that is designed to free LED system producers from the tiresome LED binning process, inventory requirements and time to market, bringing down their costs.
The Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity rover ChemCam team members have obtained the initial photos from the remote micro imager on the ChemCam instrument. The first 10 photos were successfully captured by ChemCam and this will allow the scientists to arrange the first test bursts of the system’s rock-zapping laser in the future.

These certifications will help customers to avail rebates from numerous energy firms upon installation of these products.
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of colorful LEDs in white, blue, green, yellow, yellow green, orange and red mounted on a 0402 ChipLED package.
