Seiko Epson Corporation today announced that it recently shipped its 50 millionth high-temperature polysilicon (HTPS) TFT panel for 3LCD projection systems. Epson has maintained its position as the industry's leading supplier of HTPS panels, the key component in 3LCD projectors, ever since becoming the first manufacturer in the world to launch full-scale volume production of 1.3-inch VGA panels in 1994.

New MRI Technology to Non-Invasively Locate and Track Cells

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) isn't just for capturing detailed images of the body's anatomy. Thanks to novel imaging reagents and technology developed by Carnegie Mellon University scientist Eric Ahrens, MRI can be used to visualize - with "exquisite" specificity - cell populations of interest in the living body.
