Several New Enhancements Feature Support for NVIDIA Quadro Graphics Solutions
Canvys (a division of Richardson Electronics) today announced the latest release (version H6) of its Image Systems brand CFS (Calibration Feedback System) software. This software enables automatic, hands-free precision calibration of its Image Systems line of color and monochrome medical displays. CFS also supports limited calibration of several commercial grade displays.
The latest revision includes several new functions including:
- Interoperability with NVIDIA Quadro control panel
- Additional support for NVIDIA Quadro graphics solutions including 4 digital video interface (DVI) outputs
- Faster white level adjustment algorithm
- Enhanced log file for reporting
- Sophisticated gamma ramp knee detection algorithm
- Additional calibration granularity options
- Auto activation with Add-on Front Sensor (AFS) used on commercial displays
This CFS upgrade enables customers to take advantage of these multiple options to ensure a customized calibration for their medical imaging needs and requirements. As with all previous versions, the Canvys CFS supports commercial off the shelf (COTS) graphics cards as well as application specific medical graphics solutions – making it more cost effective.
“Our goal is to continually improve the functionality and add innovative features to CFS based on feedback from our medical customers. In addition, the advanced capabilities and outstanding performance of NVIDIA Quadro graphics solutions give our customers greater flexibility with regards to their mix of medical grade and commercial grade displays,” said David Sorensen Director of Product Development and Engineering at Canvys.
In addition to this latest release (available now), Canvys is also working on the completion of a web-based interface that will be available for customers who utilize CFS-network. This web-based interface will be an alternative to the existing SNMP-based interface for CFS-network. CFS-network enables administrators to monitor and control all of their deployed displays in multiple locations from a remote site. The web-based interface is scheduled for roll out in Q1 2010.
As a standard offering, the Image Systems Calibration Feedback System software (CFS) is included FREE with every Image Systems diagnostic* display.
