Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced today that Prescolite has added two new trims to the brand’s 5” LiteBox Surface Mount (LBSQ5LEDA-square, LBS5LEDA DG-drop glass) LED product line. Installing directly to a standard J-box, the 5” LiteBox Surface Mount fixture is the perfect alternative to recessed products in settings where plenum height is challenging or where fire codes restrict the use of recessed fixtures. Prescolite also announced today that it has added DMX dimming to its LF series LED downlight family.
Available in a 5” round and now square and round drop glass versions, the LiteBox Surface Mount series features an intuitive snap-in system that makes flush mount installation incredibly easy. Users only need to install the snap-in adapter on to a standard jbox, connect wires and then snap the fixture into place with the flush mount clip. The Drop Glass model makes an architectural statement with its cut glass, aluminum and acrylic trim, and meets a space’s ambient illumination requirements while providing a luminous focal point.
Prescolite’s 5” LiteBox Surface Mount fixtures have 600+ lumen output similar to a 60W incandescent lamp, outstanding color rendering (CRI >90) and are dimmable to 15 percent. Designed with installation flexibility in mind, the fixtures’ state-of-the-art design eliminates the need for a traditional LED driver and is California Title 24 compliant, ENERGY STAR® qualified and wet listed.
Prescolite has also added DMX-512 enabled dimming to its LF series downlight family, making it compatible with a variety of architectural control systems and/or entertainment consoles in new construction and retrofit applications. With continuous dimming to below 0.1%, it provides a smooth dimming curve for the most discerning applications.
