IDT to Use Ingenia’s Laser Surface Authentication Technology in Surface Decoration Systems

IDT Systems, provider of 3D and 2D in-surface decoration solutions, has inked a partnership contract with Ingenia Technology. The agreement will enable IDT to provide Ingenia’s proprietary Laser Surface Authentication (LSA) technology to its consumers.

IDT will incorporate the LSA technology as part of its personalization and in-surface decoration offerings for the consumer electronics division.

The LSA technology scans the product’s surface to produce a fingerprint of every item. Each product, utilizing field scanners and a secure database, can be validated and traced via the overall supply chain. Material producers cannot replicate the surface imperfections, which makes the system secure and sturdy. The LSA technology cannot be assimilated or overcome by counterfeiters, unlike other anti-counterfeit technologies.

IDT’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Woodd stated that the partnership with Ingenia will enable the company to provide a complete identification and authentication package for its customers. He added that the LSA technology provides an advanced solution for anti-counterfeiting and product tracing operations.
