Cooper Industries’ division Cooper Lighting has displayed its extensive range of outdoor and indoor lighting products and its latest in-house LED technology at the 2011 LIGHTFAIR International, which was conducted from 17 to 19 May 2011 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
Cooper Lighting has developed the LED technology called the Architectural Linear Module (ALM) 1.0 at its state-of-the-art LED Innovation Center. The patent-pending linear LED technology is engineered to incorporate into 32 lighting fixtures of the company’s linear fluorescent brands.
The in-house LED module assembly with low brightness and power delivers superior optical performance equal to or more than fluorescent systems, while offering the advantages of LED lighting such as long operating life, reduction in energy consumption and carbon footprint. It also decreases power density by 15% to 20%.
Cooper Lighting also unveiled new interior lighting products throughout its brands, including Neo-Ray, Metalux, Fail-Safe, Corelite and Ametrix, for applications such as wall wash, direct-indirect or surface general lighting and recessed lighting solutions.
According to the President at Cooper Lighting, Mark Eubanks, the company is happy to launch its in-house linear LED technology that advances the company’s lighting solutions at the LIGHTFAIR International, as it is the right platform.
