Cooper Industries, a supplier of electrical solutions, participated in the renovation of a community center and the Rhodes home construction recently in Columbus, Ohio.
It was conducted in favor of the ABC hit show, ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’. The innovative, green solutions of Cooper Lighting and Cooper B-Line products were efficiently used for renovation and construction.
The team at ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ deployed the enhanced Halo 4-in LED and 6-in recessed downlights of Cooper Lighting to promote pleasant, uniform illumination for the entire home. Compared to the conventional 65-W incandescent fixtures, the Halo LED downlights utilize less energy of more than 75%. The innovative Halo LED downlights are specifically designed for extended durability of over 50,000 hours, having an increased life span of 20 years with utilization rate of six hours per day. In addition to the installation of Halo’s dynamic color temperature of 3000K in the Rhodes home, other color temperatures of Halo including 2700K, 3500K and 4000K have also been deployed.
The ABC hit show helps in renovation of a neighboring community center, besides new home construction. Cooper B-Line's ARISTA Monolithic racking system was installed for the center's panels, representing a new eco-friendly solar system. With 12kW of solar modules, ARISTA is well-suited for portrait and landscape mounting. It consists of pre-assembled ballast strips with several alternate options such as a positively tied option, and adapts with all sizes and types of solar panel. The DURA-BLOK supports of Cooper B-Line is formulated from 100% recycled rubber and when integrated, complements its efficiency.
