Research and Markets has published a new report titled ‘TI DMD MEMS projector Reverse Costing’. The report offers a detailed study of the reverse costing of Texas Instruments’ MEMS Digital Micro-mirror Device (DMD) for pico-projectors.
According to the report, the Texas Instruments MEMS DLP component is suitable for pico-projectors systems that can be incorporated in pocket projectors or in phones. The component utilizes the MEMS technology process with about 187K micromirrors and an area of 7x7 m to capture an image. The micromirrors are integrated with a SRAM memory and CMOS integrated circuit to provide control. In addition, it utilizes a ceramic substrate and a wafer level packaging technology.
The study analyzes MEMS with information on selling price estimation, manufacturing cost breakdown, economical analysis, manufacturing process flow, schematic assembly description, material analysis and images. The key topics included in the report are average selling price, manufacturing cost, manufacturing process, physical analysis, reverse costing methodology, executive summary and conclusion.
