CyberOptics has proclaimed that its CWA30 optical alignment systems will be installed on DEK Solar’s latest Eclipse Metallization Line. The CWA30 was jointly developed by CyberOptics and DEK Solar. The two firms are entering into a new market area as part of their strategic alliance in the SMT solder paste-printing industry.
The CWA30 Solar Wafer Alignment Camera executes fast and precise measurements of wafer arrangement in the Eclipse print nests. Enhanced precision of wafer arrangement increases print precision, which enhances the efficiency of the cell by shading minimum solar cell surface.
The CWA30 optical alignment system is compatible with the Eclipse sophisticated printing technologies such as print-on-print, selective emitter and metal wrap-through. It has the capacity to do conventional wafer-edge arrangement of both polycrystalline and monocrystalline wafer materials.
An Eclipse Metallization line integrated with six CWA30 cameras can manufacture 3,600 wafers every hour. One day of wafer production can generate 300 kW of power capacity.
Since 2005, CyberOptics has provided the fiducial alignment/inspection camera technology to DEK for SMT solder paste printers.
