Supplier of interconnection and colocation services, Zayo Colocation (zColo) has expanded its bandwidth services into Nashville, the capital of Tennessee.
zColo’s expansion incorporates a 9,000 sq. ft. data center plant in Nashville. The company will offer bandwidth, interconnection and colocation services to its enterprise and carrier customers from the Nashville facility.
zColo’s Nashville assets will accompany the other colocation plants located all over the U.S. The company operates major colocation plants in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New Jersey/New York metro market. The new facility in Nashville measures 15,400 sq. ft, out of which a colocation space of 9,000 sq. ft is developed, with an expansion space of nearly 3,500 sq. ft.
zColo’s President, David Howson stated that the Nashville data center facility has enhanced connectivity and was not affected by the flooding that occurred earlier.
Zayo, in 2007, procured Memphis Networx, a company that offers bandwidth infrastructure services over a metropolitan fiber network. Zayo has deployed the latest fiber based Ethernet services for the customers of Memphis. It also recently acquired American Fiber Systems, which has a vast fiber network in Nashville.
