Materialise Collaborates with SEIKO Optical Europe to Manufacture SEIKO Xchanger Sports Eyewear Collection

Materialise NV, a leading provider of Additive Manufacturing software, sophisticated 3D Printing solutions and certified manufacturing services, is collaborating with optical company SEIKO Optical Europe for the SEIKO Xchanger sports eyewear collection. The collection, introduced at the leading optics fair Silmo 2015 in Paris and made in collaboration with Hoet Design Studio and Materialise Engineering Services, is nominated for the Silmo d'Or award for excellence in optical innovation.

Zecotek Photonics to Supply LFS Crystal Plates to CERN's Compact Muon Solenoid Group

Zecotek Photonics Inc., a developer of leading-edge photonics technologies for industrial, healthcare and scientific markets, today announced that CERN's associated scientific team, working on the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the University of Virginia, has ordered Zecotek's thin LFS crystal plates manufactured specifically for its shashlik designed calorimeter. The LFS crystal plates supplied by Zecotek have a nominal thickness of 1.5mm.

McPherson High-Voltage Power Supply Series Now Features 10,000V Configuration

We are pleased to announce that the McPherson high-voltage power supply series now features a 10,000 Volt configuration. The 10-kilovolt model joins the already popular one, two and 5-kilovolt versions. We use these power supplies for many purposes in the laboratory. Opto Diode Unveils Wide Temperature Range IR Emitter for Military and Industrial Markets

Opto Diode Corporation, an ITW company, introduces a wide temperature range infrared (IR) emitter designed for demanding military and industrial markets. The gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) OD-850WHT IR light-emitting diode features typical optical power output ranges from 24 to 28mW, a wide emission angle, and operates at extended temperature ranges from -65 to +150 degrees C. The emitter has peak emission of 850 nm and an optical half intensity beam angle of 80 degrees. With no internal coatings, the device can operate without heat sinking and without derating to 80 degrees C.
