L-3 Communications Awards Additional Orders for VDC Display Systems

VDC Display Systems reported that its order backlog has risen after receiving $2.5 million in orders from L-3 Link Simulation and Training. The order was for visual display devices and accessories for Moroccan F-16 and U.S. Air Force F-22 training devices.

The simulators offer wide range of maneuvers for training such as air refueling, weapons delivery, emergency procedures, landings and take-offs. VDC Display Systems is experienced in providing projection systems for several applications in military and commercial training.

VDC Display Systems, a Video Display Corporation division, produces solutions as per the display needs for medical, industrial and military purposes, particularly for simulation and training applications. The company’s offerings comprise AMLCD, CRT and LCOS displays, in addition, projection display systems that use VDC Display Systems Marquee, SONY and ESCP projectors. Its ruggedized display system is utilized in shipboard applications on Aegis class cruisers and U.S. Navy carriers.
