Bosch Security Systems has provided security equipment for the World Expo 2010 taking place in Shanghai, China. In the show, 50 organizations and 192 countries have displayed their products. The Expo, which began on May 1, 2010, will end on October 31, 2010, and will host nearly 20,000 cultural performances through the six months.
One of the prominent and largest buildings in the World Expo 2010 is the China Pavilion, which highlights Chinese history and culture. Bosch Security Systems has deployed around 700 of its high-performance cameras to protect the people who visit the China Pavilion. The cameras offer real-time monitoring of areas such as elevators, and exhibition rooms. The China Pavilion’s central control room has been installed with the Bosch Allegiant 8900 Matrix System that can display video content on any monitor from any camera. It also offers full matrix switching capability and powerful alarm handling facilities.
The Expo Axis, which is linked to the China Pavilion, is the central avenue of the World Expo. This avenue comprises a 1,000-meter long membrane construction with steel glass funnels. It is the largest single project developed at the World Expo 2010. An advanced video surveillance system from Bosch has been installed in the Expo Axis. The surveillance system consists of a Praesideo digital public address system, which is linked to over 1,600 speakers inside the Expo Axis. The surveillance system also consists of 800 cameras from Bosch.
