Zayo Bandwidth to Add Ethernet Services to Wireless Towers in Pennsylvania

Zayo Bandwidth reported that it will broaden its high bandwidth capacity FTT (fiber-to-tower) coverage through addition of TDM and Ethernet services to its existing wireless tower sites all over central Pennsylvania and Wilkes Barre.

The enhancement would increase the company’s FTT customer locations to more than 1,700. The expansion also reinforces the position of the company as a major FTT bandwidth solutions provider.

The expansion of the network in Pennsylvania and other latest deployments by the company will provide wireless carriers diverse fiber routes, and the option of working with a leader in customer service. The company will also offer FTT services to support 3G and 4G wireless networks in all of its FTT deployments. These wireless networks are imminent tools for large data transfer.

John Scarano, president of Zayo Bandwidth, stated that the expansion of FTT customer locations would help in meeting the growth requirements of their wireless carrier customers. Chris Murphy, vice president of Zayo Bandwidth’s sales and business development division, noted that the company has deployed trained and experienced persons to aid the wireless carriers when connected with the towers supported by Zayo.
