BIOLASE to Sell iLase Dental Laser Systems in Canada

BIOLASE Technology announced that the Health Canada-Medical Device Bureau has approved its advanced iLase dental laser systems to be distributed in Canada.

The iLase diode laser is the first, integrated dental laser system, which incorporates a user interface, laser, battery as well as controls. The hand-held instrument does not include any cords or foot pedals and can be operated as a single device. The iLase dental laser system enables hygienists and dentists to perform minimally invasive surgeries easily and effectively.

BIOLASE’s CEO, David M. Mulder, stated that the Canadian approval would enable the company to expand the market for their dental laser systems. He added that the biggest advantage of using the iLase dental laser systems is that they promote easy and painless laser surgeries with superior results.
