Eizo Nanao Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the addition of two 10.4-inch monitors for the industrial market – the DuraVision FDX1001T and the DuraVision FDX1002. These are the second and third offerings in EIZO’s DuraVision series of industrial monitors, which EIZO launched in September of 2009.
The DuraVision FDX1001T is a touch screen monitor that features analog resistive touch display technology. It accepts touch input from a gloved hand, making it suitable for both factories and clean rooms.
The DuraVision FDX1002 features a screen capture function that captures and saves a still image in bitmap format simply by pressing a button on the front of the monitor. Once captured, the image can be saved to a USB memory device. This function is ideal for capturing images from video sources or from a microscope.
Both monitors offer a 1024 × 768 native resolution. They come with a white LED backlight that is mercury free, consumes less power than a standard CCFL backlight, and achieves a high brightness of 700 cd/m2 for the DuraVision FDX1002 and 460 cd/m2 for the DuraVision FDX1001T. The contrast ratio is 700:1 for both monitors.
A D-Sub analog input is included for connecting to PCs. Composite and S-Video inputs which support NTSC, PAL, and SECAM are included for connecting to audio/visual equipment. For noise (flicker) reduction, both the composite and S-Video inputs have a 3-dimensional Y/C separation circuit for NTSC.
To accommodate the requirements of various installation environments, both products are available in five different configurations: standard (with stand), free mount (no stand), chassis, panel mount, and rack mount.
Both monitors can display crosshair overlay which is convenient when connected to an optical microscope. The crosshairs can be set to three different thicknesses and four different colors (black, white, green, red).
Additional Features
- The cabinets do not contain ventilation holes and control buttons are completely sealed, making the monitors impervious to liquids and dust.
- Underscan and normal display settings included. The underscan setting shows 100% of an image and is ideal for video. The normal setting displays about 95% of the image, which eliminates extraneous TV broadcasting data that sometimes appears at the edges of the screen.
- 2-year manufacturer’s warranty which covers 24 hour continuous operation.
