Avago Technologies (Nasdaq: AVGO), a leading supplier of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, today announced a new compact extended temperature automotive grade optocoupler for use in hybrid electronic vehicles. Avago’s ACPL-36JV 2.5 Amp optocoupler incorporates an integrated desaturation detection and fault status feedback system while offering superior performance over a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +105 degrees-C. The ACPL-36JV is ideal for use with isolated IGBT/power MOSFET gate drives, industrial inverters, AC and brushless DC motor drives, and uninterruptable power supplies.
Avago’s ACPL-36JV, which is part of its R2Coupler™ family, provides reinforced insulation and reliability that delivers safe signal isolation which is critical in automotive and high temperature industrial applications. The low-power ACPL-36JV optocoupler has been designed with under voltage lock-out (UVLO) protection, high common mode rejection (CMR) performance and high speed response to improve efficiency. Additionally, the ACPL-36JV has been qualified to automotive AEC-Q100 Grade 2 semiconductor requirements for use in automotive applications.
The ACPL-36JV optocoupler is available in a 16-lead small outline (SO-16) surface mount package and is compliant to industrial safety standards IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5, UL 1577 and CSA.
