Latest enhancements to Digital Check scanners compatible with Ranger API software
Digital Check (http://www.digitalcheck.com), a provider of desktop check scanners and remote deposit capture technology to the financial industry, announced that Pensacola, Fla.-based Silver Bullet Technology has now certified and supports Digital Check’s recently launched TellerScan TS240, a check scanner designed for teller and remote deposit applications, with its Ranger API software solution.
By adding support for the TS240, Silver Bullet’s Ranger API now provides support for Digital Check’s entire TellerScan series of scanners. TS240 enhancements that are supported by Ranger include:
- High speed, non-contact image cameras (300 DPI);
- Expanded, 100 item auto feeder and 100 item output pocket
- Increased scan speeds (50, 75 and 100 DPM models); and
- An intelligent front-franking stamp option.
“We are excited to announce Ranger support for Digital Check’s TS240,” said Jamille Ellingson, national account executive for Silver Bullet. “The TS240’s high-speed, intelligent design provides a compelling choice for retail bank applications and the RDC customer.”
“Silver Bullet’s support of the TS240 ensures fast, easy deployment for financial institutions looking for advanced scanner capabilities without increased costs,” said John Gainer, executive vice president for Digital Check. “The TS240 maintains the very reliable TS230 mechanical design and adds the enhancements our customers have asked for including larger feeder and fast, high resolution scan heads, but also very important, they asked for scanner diagnostics and ease of use to facilitate RDC and teller deployment and support.”
Silver Bullet’s Ranger software allows customers to use virtually any item-processing software with virtually any check-scanning hardware. Application providers who already use Ranger API are now able to offer rapid support for the TS240 for branch or high-volume RDC clients. New application providers who choose to develop to the Ranger API will be able to support the full line of Digital Check’s TellerScan series of scanners.
