Helium silver laser belongs to the category of metal-vapour lasers. This laser is capable of emitting light of wavelength 224.5 nm, which lies in the deep ultraviolet region. The output wavelength makes it suitable for use in fluorescence suppressed Raman Spectroscopy.
The helium-silver laser operates at low-pressure, and produces very narrow spectral line widths. This laser is mainly used in scientific research and fluorescence suppressed Raman Spectroscopy
