Timbercon, Inc., the fiber optic product and solution manufacturing company providing a vast array of connectivity solutions, introduces its MIL hybrid cables.
Timbercon's MIL hybrid cables combine fiber and copper cable into one cable assembly for military and broadcast applications.
"Our new MIL hybrid cable product line saves our customers time and money," said Jayson Lizardo, defense and aerospace channel manager for Timbercon. "Rather than installing separate fiber and copper cables, the hybrid cable provides an easy and effective way to install both with only one point of entry."
Timbercon's MIL hybrid cables are ideal for military applications requiring low voltage copper cable and fiber cable to be used within the same space or for equipment requiring different cable types. The copper wire can carry power while the fiber can transmit data without the risk of electromagnetic interference, or EMI. Additionally, hybrid cables cut down on cable weight and physical space requirements by using a single jacket, enabling a faster and more cost effective install versus traditional cabling systems.
Timbercon's MIL hybrid cables are highly customizable with regards to length, channel counts and ruggedization. They are offered in D38999, M28876 as well as a variety of other ruggedized/harsh environment connector designs depending on individual application.
