NEC Display Launches Smallest Commercially Available 5000-Lumen Solid State Light Source Installation Projectors

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the mercury-free P502WL and P502HL models, the smallest 5,000-lumen solid state light source installation projectors on the market.

The new professional installation projectors place a premium on installation flexibility. Horizontal and vertical lens shift address the most demanding deployments. Enhanced keystone correction enables horizontal and vertical image correction for aligned images, even when the projectors are set up on angles to their screens. And a complete input panel features three digital connections, including Dual HDMI and HDBaseT, plus a separate LAN connection for network and asset management.

In addition, the P502WL’s (WXGA resolution) and P502HL’s (1080p resolution) laser light modules mean each projector runs 20,000-plus hours. They are virtually maintenance free, which translates to labor and lamp cost savings as lamps no longer need to be replaced every 2,500 to 4,000 hours of use.

“The beauty of laser phosphor projectors is their limitless ability to support applications in a variety of industries,” said Richard McPherson, Senior Product Manager of Projectors at NEC Display. “Higher education, corporate, rental & staging, large enterprises, network operations centers, theme parks and other sectors considering digital signage benefit from the projectors’ long lifespans, and their abilities to hold their brightness values and color consistency for greater periods of time.”

Easier management and control from advanced software also are key benefits of the P Series projectors. The Image Express Lite Utility function allows up to 16 devices to be wirelessly connected to each projector concurrently. Thumbnail images give presenters easy visibility to each participating device so they can easily toggle between sources.

Here are some of the other benefits of the new P Series projectors:

  • Quick Start and Power Off
  • Up to 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
  • Manual zoom and focus for ease of installation
  • Extensive input panel, including Dual HDMI, VGA, LAN, and HDBaseT
  • WiFi Miracast
  • Tilt free and portrait mode
  • 3D and adjustable light source
  • Integrated software applications, such as DisplayNote, Crestron Roomview, AMX Beacon, and PJ Link, which allow for complete interactivity and control

The P502WL and P502HL projectors ship with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, and will be available in August 2015 at a minimum advertised price of $3,499 and $4,599, respectively.
