Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced today an LED luminaire set to revolutionize the built environment—Litecontrol’s Liteweave™ Linear. Featuring a slender profile smaller in both width and height than a typical smartphone, the transformational Liteweave™ Linear is designed to provide an unobtrusive and elegant solution for commercial, educational and civic applications.
The Liteweave™ Linear is the first commercial suspended luminaire to use flexible printed circuit board LED technology which significantly reduces luminaire size. The result is an aesthetic never seen before—one that is neutral from a distance and visually interesting up close. And with no visible frame or border, the Liteweave uses a precision-formed light diffuser to weave light across the visual plane, delivering a 30/70 indirect/direct distribution.
Featuring seamless connections, clear row joints translate the “weaved” appearance for continuous, uninterrupted rows of light to complement a variety of architectural designs. Installation is also simple, featuring gossamer thin aircraft cable, which is adjustable vertically, for height, and horizontally, to avoid small obstacles. Liteweave also ships to the contractor with both the cord and end treatments pre-installed.
Available in 3400 and 4600 lumen packages (per 4’), the Liteweave™ Linear delivers beautiful efficiency with an efficacy of up to 101 lumens per watt. Additionally, compared to a typical 9.5” wide linear fluorescent, Liteweave™ Linear uses 25-30% less energy, 60% less material and is 70% lighter in weight. Offered in three color temperatures (3000K, 3500K, and 4000K), the luminaire delivers an LED solution that is attractive, imaginative, and architectural.
