Larson Electronics Magnalight Introduces Emergency Ballast Equipped Hazardous Location LED Light

Larson Electronics Magnalight combined the benefits of emergency lights with the requirements of Class 1 Division 2 areas with the new HALP-EMG-48-2L-LED emergency ballast equipped hazardous location light.

With this additional capability these lights will serve to provide standard illumination, but will also operate a single LED bulb for 90 minutes in the event of power failure.

Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com unveiled the emergency ballast equipped four foot 2 lamp LED light HALP-EMG-48-2L-LED for hazardous location areas. The emergency LED light provides 90 minutes run time half of its standard 4,320 lumens of light output when the power is cut to the light fixture. The hazardous location, Class 1 Division 2 LED light does double duty as a standard luminaire and as an emergency light so operators don't need to purchase two lighting products. These hazardous location LED lights can be configured with multiple emergency ballasts for longer run times or higher lumen output.

"We are getting more demand for emergency ballast equipped explosion proof lights and hazardous location lights," said Rob Bresnahan with Magnalight.com. "For a small incremental cost, operators can meet the requirements for Class 1 Division 2 emergency lighting, while still having a fully functional light fixture for daily operational use. It makes a lot more sense than purchasing and installing separate hazardous location lights, particular over doorways and exits. In addition, we can configure these lights for surface, pendant or wall mount."
