Larson Electronics announced the addition of a scaffold or rail mount system equipped with two Class 1 Division 2 400-Watt metal halide lights for hazardous area use. The HAL-JH2X400-120 produces 800 watts of metal halide light output and can be 'cinched' to any ladder, scaffold or rail mount to provide hazardous area illumination.
The HAL-JH2X400-120 metal halide hazardous location lighting fixture from Magnalight produces 72,000 lumens of light capable of illuminating an area 36,000 square feet in size. Weather proof and U.L. listed for marine use, this metal halide fixture comes attached to an aluminum rail/ladder mount bracket that allows operators to easily mount this unit to ladders, handrails, catwalks and other similar structures. Larson Electronics Magnalight adds a Class 1 Division 2 metal halide hazardous location lighting system to it line-up that will give operators the ability to make use of scaffolds, ladders and catwalks commonly found in tanks and other hazardous areas. The HAL-JH2X400-120 generates more than 80,000 lumens of light output and will pass easily through a 18, 24 or 30 inch manway for use in confined spaces. The lighting system is Class 1 Division 2 rated for groups A, B, C and D and is powered via a 100 foot SOOW cord, terminated with and explosion proof plug. The mounting system itself has upper brackets that hook over a top rail and an extendable lower bracket that can be adjusted to attach to the lower rail. The adjustment provides a minimum distance of 26 inches and a maximum distance of 43 inches between brackets. The light mount bracket can also be elevated or lowered as needed to adjust the light output. This configuration enables operators to attach this Class 1 Division 2 light system to any two rails, even when the distance between the rails varies from job to job.
