Evluma, a LED lighting manufacturer has declared the launch of a compact mogul base version of the Clearlight 50W Beacon LED retrofit designed for all-day fixtures.
This facilitates the light source to be mounted in the fixture if the legacy device’s refractor optics is employed for the modification of light distribution. This Clearlight Beacon’s short version includes a GU-24 adapter or a medium (E26) base that promotes the Clearlight line, applicable for industrial and commercial uses like soffit lights, can lights, and garage lights.
The short mogul Beacon measures 7.67 in. It mounts the LED light source approximately 2 in higher into the refractor based on the fixture designer’s choice. The traditional Beacon measuring 10.2 in normally makes the LED light source glow at the refractor’s base. A variety of bracket kits has been fabricated by the company over the years to furnish its customers’ desire about locating the LED light source within the refractor. However, some customers are satisfied with this shorter Beacon.
The Beacon will support the Clearlight direct screw-in retrofit, maintaining its simplicity. According to the company, the demand for customized positioning remains stable. There is no need for any alterations as it is self-ballasted. However, wiring around the ballast facilitates added energy conservation. The President and CEO of Evluma, Keith Miller says that retrofit products need to be robust with simplified installation. The short mogul Beacon is designed accordingly.
These new models are approved by the UL, just as the EcoSpot and the original Beacon. The Lighting Design Lab in Seattle, WA approved the Short Beacon models. The production of Clearlights is carried out in Seattle, WA with resources from the US and across the globe.
