CVB 2011 CameraSuite MultiOS For Different Operating Systems

CVB 2011 CameraSuite MultiOS, the latest version of STEMMER IMAGING’s high-performance and easy-to-install development environment for GigE Vision cameras, can now be used with a variety of operating systems. In addition to the 32-bit versions of Windows (XP, Vista, 7), the new CVB2011 CameraSuite MultiOS now also supports 64-bit Windows 7 and 64-bit Linux (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Mint).

The new CameraSuite version is based on optimised filter drivers and ensures optimum performance in use by minimising processor load. The proven memory management concept with ring buffers has been retained together with the option of providing flexible access to the acquired images, in order to utilise custom algorithms. In addition, the GenICam standard is fully implemented in CVB CameraSuite MultiOS, ensuring that CVB remains completely hardware independent.

When using CameraSuite under Windows, the user has access to an optimised DirectX display and flicker-free non-destructive overlays. Like its predecessor, the new version of software supports various file formats and contains a large number of example programs in source code, facilitating the development of the user's own applications. Simple interactive camera parameterisation can be made via a management console for basic configuration and a flexible decision tree for optimum support of user-specific applications.

Full support for .NET, VB, VC++, DELPHI (32-bit Windows), .NET, VC++ (64-bit Windows), Intel C++ and gcc for 64-bit Linux is provided for further development. For 32-/64-bit Windows, the components are based on DLLs and ActiveX Controls, while for 64-bit Linux, they are based on ELF shared objects.

The new Software Development Kit for all operating systems is included free of charge in the delivery of all cameras that can be purchased from STEMMER IMAGING and conform to the GigE Vision standard. Licensing is still provided via the MAC address of the camera.
