Integra Telecom, a communication, network, and cloud solution provider and Overture Networks, a carrier ethernet solutions provider, jointly declared that Integra aims to expand its ethernet services product portfolio using the Ethernet-over-Copper (EoC) technology of Overture.
The adaptation of EoC technology will increase the availability of Carrier Ethernet to Integra at a significantly lower per-megabit cost to a greater customer base to provide a scalable network and superior quality for audio, video, internet and data.
According to Craig Heidgerken, VP of corporate engineering of Integra, his company concentrates more on customer satisfaction by providing excellent quality products with high standard technological platforms. Integra joins Overture, for the quality and dependability of the EoC solutions of Overture, and for Overture’s dedication towards customer support. He added that Overture naturally suits Integra, for they can together quickly begin serving the increasing customer base.
With the deployment of the Overture’s technology, Integra will increase its bandwidth to 100 Mbps from the present EoC in 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 Mbps. Integra will also start using Carrier Ethernet as its communication medium.
According to Kevin Sheehan, President, Overture Networks, the company’s EoC technology is a perfect add-on to the present fiber technology of Integra, providing faster and efficient service to the customers.
