Xeleum Lighting has received an order from Safe Haven Self Storage to switch the lighting in its storage facilities from existing incandescent and fluorescent lighting to LED lighting.
The first conversion phase is scheduled to take place at the New York based Mt. Kisco facility spanning 70,000 square feet during the third quarter of this year.
The Director of Operations of Safe Haven, Kristian Pariseau stated that the decision to switch to LED lights was made after ROI analysis and energy audit. Pariseau also explained that within 2 years, the electric bill every month would be reduced by more than 80%. Since LED lights do not require frequent purchase and replacement as incandescent and fluorescent lights, this adds to the energy and cost saved by the company.
The President of Xeleum, Mehrdad Ghalebi stated that the light products manufactured by Xeleum are direct replacements for a range of halogen, incandescent and fluorescent lights being used today. The LED lighting solutions have an extended maintenance free life and save lighting bills for industrial and commercial heavy electricity users such as Safe Haven by 50%-85%, based upon specifications such as electric rates, light type and daily usage. The lighting solutions are also available in color temperatures and flux values similar to the fluorescent or incandescent lights which will be replaced.
