The LED lighting solutions company, Relumination has signed a contract with Tempe Storage. According to the terms of the contract, Relumination installed energy efficient lights in place of the existing exterior lights. This helped to improve the lighting quality and reduce energy costs, thereby reducing overall consumption of lighting based electricity by 87% in Tempe’s self-storage facility.
The installed LED lighting also provides enhanced onsite security while at the same time brightening the loading and unloading night-time environment. The ground lighting at the facility has already improved by approximately 20%.
Relumination offered a thorough lighting-based energy consumption assessment along with recommendations followed by implementation, utility rebate processing and verification after the installation was completed. Relumination replaced the self-storage facility’s 215 W HPS exterior lights with 26 W LED fixtures. This replacement of lights helped reduce the hourly watt consumption from 8,800 to 1,144.
The projected annual electricity reduction and savings in maintenance expenses is approximately $4,000 with expected ROI in about 2.5 years (30 months). Tempe Storage Company is also eligible for 100% tax deduction through the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010.
The CEO of Relumination, Daniel Henderson stated that the LED lighting solutions make a positive effect on the client’s bottom-line.
