NEC Rolls Out Computer Option Cards with AMD Processors

NEC Display Solutions of America and Technovare Systems have rolled out four SBC option cards that enable convenient integration with NEC’s X, P, and V series displays.

SB-02SC-1 SBC Option Card

The option cards are developed using the open pluggable specification platform and incorporate 1.6 GHz AMD processors. They are used in applications such as lobbies, quick-service restaurants, retail, healthcare, and airports.

The SBCs offer network access by utilizing the present CAT5 network infrastructures and save both money and time. The SB-02SC-3 and SB-02SC-4 SBCs come without an operating system and offer versatility to users who seek to run Linux or any other kind of operating system. The SB-02SC-3 SBC has a 160GB hard disk whereas the SB-02SC-4 features a 32GB solid state drive. The SB-02SC-1 SBC has a 160GB hard drive and a Windows 7 Professional license whereas the SB-02SC-1 SBC has a 32GB solid state drive with a Windows 7 Professional license.

NEC’s Product Manager for Large-Screen Displays, Rachel Karnani stated that the SBCs allow the company’s screens to deliver inspiring images. Karnani added that the SBCs have the ability to run various kinds of content and provide versatility for customers to generate diverse content.
