Cooper Lighting Wins Product of the Year Award

Plant Engineering has selected Cooper Lighting’s products as winners of the 2010 Product of the Year in the lighting category. The products that won the award were the Metalux OpticaHP High Performance Parabolic Series and the McGraw-Edison Ventus Luminaire.

The Metalux OpticaHP series won the bronze award whereas the McGraw-Edison Ventus luminaire won the silver award. The awards are given to acknowledge the top products in the plant engineering sector.

The Ventus LED Area luminaire provides good optical versatility and performance with high-quality light. It uses the modular LightBAR technology and provides application-specific standardized lighting. The luminaire delivers energy-efficient lighting to security lighting applications, in addition to roadways, building areas, and parking lots. It provides maximum energy savings of 75% over the conventional high intensity discharge lighting sources.

The Metalux OpticaHP parabolic series of luminaires conserves energy for lighting retrofit and construction applications. The luminaires’ blade design generates uniformly distributed lighting and delivers optimal lighting levels. Cooper Lighting’s President, Mark Eubanks stated that the company is delighted that the readers of Plant Engineering have honored their products.
