Apple Stores to Sell SHOWMX+ Laser Pico Projector in EMEA

A developer of laser display technologies, Microvision announced that the SHOWMX+laser pico projector is available for purchase in the online stores of Apple in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from this month. The company has collaborated with Softline UK to manage the laser pico projector inventory.

The pico projector is ideal for iPad, iPhone, and iPod devices and can be conveniently connected to an array of devices. It allows users to exhibit content on any kind of surface at a maximum distance of 2.7 m. The projector is compact in size and provides focus-free operation and movie-length viewing experiences.

MicroVision’s VP, Sales Marketing and Operations, Joe O’Sullivan stated that the distribution partnership will enable the company to fulfill its 2011 revenue objectives. He added that through Apple’s online stores, the pico projector will be used by many iPod and iPad users. Softline’s Global Sales Manager, Chris Corse mentioned that the projector’s availability in the online stores would help make it a vital accessory for offices and homes.
