One Change, a non-profit charitable organization, announced that volunteers will distribute over 185,000 compact fluorescent light (CFL) lights to the residents of New Jersey.
The distribution campaign is a part of the organization’s Project, Porchlight campaign and is funded by the Clean Energy Program and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. The campaign’s aim is to persuade individuals to utilize CGL bulbs in order to conserve energy. Over 1.5 million CFL lights will be distributed by the end of the campaign.
The organization conducts social marketing campaigns across the North American region in order to enable individuals to adapt to the environment-friendly lighting solutions. It has distributed nearly 1.35 million in the New Jersey region from 2008. The organization, as part of its campaign, will also visit the localities in Woodbridge, New Brunswick, Jersey City, Cape May, Atlantic City, and Asbury Park.
One Change’s President, Stuart Hickox stated that the campaign has enabled them to get in touch with the residents of New Jersey directly and showcase the advantages of a CFL bulb. He added that the organization is pleased to work with the Clean Energy Program and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
