Unite Private Networks has entered into a 10-year deal with Sheridan County School District #2 located in Sheridan, Wyoming, to offer its data services via a fiber optic Wide Area Network (WAN).
Unite Private Networks offers fiber-based, high-bandwidth communications networks to corporate customers, hospitals, data centers, schools, carriers and government.
According to Judy Gallagher-Cosgrove, who serves as VP of Business Development at Unite Private Networks, the school required a non-blocking WAN system in order to execute technology solutions that offer operational efficacies and reduce expenditures in the district. Gallagher-Cosgrove further said that Unite Private Networks deploys tailored fiber networks that provide unlimited bandwidth without central offices blockages.
The Information Technology Director at Sheridan County School District #2, Coree Kelly commented that Unite Private Networks offered a proposal for the school to deploy gigabit fiber-optic network that can help in future expansion.
According to Rob Oyler, CMO at Unite Private Networks, the new deal describes the efforts taken by the schools to deal with rising bandwidth issue irrespective of the location or size of the district.
