Daylight Solutions, specialist in ultra-power lighting, spectroscopic and sophisticated molecular detection solutions, has expanded its Aries Series of multi-wavelength, high-power mid-IR lasers.
The new products include the Aries-700, -400 and -200 mid-IR lasers. The first product in the Aries Series was the Aries100 air-cooled 2 W laser. The products’ modularity offers tailored performance in power and wavelength.
Daylight Solutions’ customers can now have the options to use seven, four, two, or one laser socket with any power and wavelength offered by the company. Using all the seven sockets in the Aries-700 laser offers more than 10 W of air-cooled, cw, mid-IR laser power.
The Product Marketing Manager of scientific products at Daylight Solutions, Michael Radunsky stated the ready-to-use systems can be set up for superior power at one wavelength or at seven varied wavelengths coaxially and concurrently. He further said that these lasers are suitable for applications, including scene generation, thermal imaging, infrared countermeasures, free space communication, and standoff detection.
The Aries portfolio comes with a wavelength range between 2 and 13 µm. The Aries-100 laser has received CDRH certification and can be used for laboratory applications. The OEM laser systems are the higher models in the portfolio and are now available for integration. The products’ standard operating temperature range is between 15°C and 40°C and the extended operating temperature range is between -40°C to +70°C. The lasers are available with optional optical fiber and have passed vibration and shakes resistance tests.
