Infinera, provider of digital optical networking solutions to global telecommunications carriers, will display its ATN metro WDM edge system, the Infinera DTN, metro and long distance DWDM platform at ANGA Cable show to be conducted from 3 to 5 May, 2011 in Cologne, Germany.
The ATN metro edge platform offers expandable optical transportation from the metro edge via regional networks and throughout the national networks. The Infinera DTN is a Digital Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer built on huge-scale photonic integration. The company’s digital optical network solutions reduce OpEx and CapEx costs over the network life and speed up services.
The company’s built-in ATN-DTN networks eradicate transponders where the metro edge meets the metro core and endorse point-and-click service offerings. Telecommunications carriers throughout the world, including five major MSOs in the United States, have installed Infinera’s digital optical network systems.
According to Gaylord Hart, who works as Director of Marketing at Infinera, cable operators are happy with Infinera’s digital optical network solutions as the versatility and expandability of the systems allow them to fulfill the increasing requirements of triple play services.
