Eurofiber Deploys Infinera Digital Optical Network across Netherlands and Belgium

A telecom services supplier based in Utrecht, Eurofiber has decided to use the end-to-end Digital Optical Network solution from Infinera to support its backbone network in Netherlands and Belgium.

A combined DTN-ATN network from Infinera has also been deployed by Eurofiber for the reliability, ease of operation and speed of Infinera’s optical network solution.

The Netherland based supplier has a network spanning across 10,000 km in the country and provides connection points in Germany and Belgium. Eurofiber opted for the Infinera solution because the capabilities and features of the network meet the demands for increased bandwidth by providing users with highly scalable bandwidth. Its ease of deployments also allows Eurofiber to extend its services to new regions.

Infinera’s DTN system is designed with photonic integrated circuits through which a DWDM line-side capacity of up to 160 wavelengths can be delivered across the network. A highly scalable and flexible network architecture can be achieved with the use of bandwidth virtualization technology and a DWDM integrated digital OTN switch.
