TRUMPF Unveils Flexible Laser Workstation for Laser Welding Applications

TRUMPF Group has unveiled a new laser workstation called the TruLaser Station 3003 for medium and small batch laser welding applications. The company has introduced the laser system at the intec trade show that was conducted in Leipzig.

TruLaser Station 3003

The TruLaser Station 3003 is compatible with different types of lasers. Customers can choose a TruPulse laser for applications that need pulsed lasers, including welding temperature-sensitive components. The TruLaser Station 3003 can be used with fiber, diode or disk lasers with an output of 1,000 W to weld heat exchangers’ lap joints.

The laser system can be used with the TruMicro Series’ microprocessing laser to strip semiconductors or layers. The laser system uses a programmable focusing optics such as PFO 33 or PFO20 that enables the system to work with lower auxiliary processing times, which in turn reduces the production cost.

An in-built scanner optic eliminates the movement of the optic and the workpiece during processing. The laser system has optional linear axes that can extend the working range. It is a compact system and measures 860x2,000x1,310 mm. However, it has a large operating range of 300x300x500 mm. The system’s automatic swinging doors enable quick loading of work pieces.
