RPMC Introduces Picosecond Lasers for Cold Micromachining Applications

RPMC Lasers, provider of laser products, has launched high energy picosecond lasers that offer a maximum pulse energy of 150uJ.

The APL laser solutions integrate the benefits of solid state diode pumped free space amplifiers and fiber laser technology. They are ideal for various imaging and cold micromachining applications and deliver high precision at cost-efficient pricing.

The APL laser solutions have a 1064 nm laser platform that enables them to be customized for various repetition rates, pulse energy and power for medical, scientific, and industrial applications. The APL-500-1064 laser comes with 5 ps pulses with an average power of 0.5 W at 500 kHz, while the APL-4000-1064 laser comes with pulses of less than 10 ps with an average power of 4 W at 500 kHz.

The laser solutions are available in custom version at various power levels, pulse energies, pulse widths, and wavelengths. Nearly 100 ps units have been manufactured at wavelengths ranging from 3 to 6 µm.
