MHA Lighting, a Manchester-based lighting company, has won a contract to provide LED lighting solutions to the Terminal 2 and 3 car parks at Manchester Airport. The company won over other national lighting companies to change the airport’s car park fittings design.
MHA Lighting manufactures, designs and ships bespoke LED lighting systems. The company developed an enhanced retrofit solution that replaced 2,000 units of 80 W bulbs installed at the car parks with 30 and 40 W LED bulbs. This step will reduce energy bills by 60% and carbon emissions by 50%.
MHA Lighting’s Managing Director, Tom Harrison stated that the LED lighting contract advances the UK’s production and technology innovation. He added that the company is pleased to work with Manchester Airport.
The Project Technician at Manchester Airport, Jonathan Beswick remarked that officials were pleased with the efficiency and speed of MHA Lighting in designing, installing and testing the lighting systems according to their specified requirements.
