ICAP Ocean Tomo Announces Sale of Lighting, Displays and X-Ray Imaging Patents

Patent auction firm, ICAP Ocean Tomo has announced the sale of Till Keesmann’s x-ray imaging patents. The sale includes seven applications and foreign counterparts and seven issued patents that will be useful to companies specializing in medical imaging, diagnostics, x-ray and lighting.

The technology used in the patent portfolio is based on a field emission system that includes a cathode with an emission area for electrons. The field emission solution produces electron currents at a low voltage. In addition, it might be suitable for using in gas ionizing applications, atomic force microscope, scanning tunneling microscope or in field emission microscope.

The field emission device can be used in backlights or illuminants, data carriers, microdevices and circuit boards. Other application markets of the device include computer tomography, x-ray systems, hand-held x-ray fluorescence analysis systems and measuring sensors.
