Vytran to Showcase Precision Optical Fiber Processing Equipment at BiOS and Photonics West Exhibitions

Supplier of fiber-optic splicing solutions, Vytran will exhibit the optical fiber processing equipment at the BiOS exhibition from 22 to 23 January and at the Photonics West 2011, from 25 to 27 January 2011, in San Francisco, California.

The company’s product line includes discrete process tools and integrated workstation for optical fiber testing, recoating, splicing, cleaving, cleaning and stripping.

The optical fiber equipment from Vytran is utilized in markets such as optical communications, aerospace, sensing, general R&D, medical devices, and fiber laser. The company will demonstrate the PTR-200 series recoaters, GPX-3400 glass processor, FFS-2000 splicing workstation, LDC-400 large-diameter fiber cleaver, and LFS-4000 large-diameter fiber splicer at the events.

In addition, Dr. Baishi Wang, the Director of Technology at Vytran will give a presentation on the course SC1020, called Splicing of Specialty Fibers and Glass Processing of Fused Fiber Components, at the Photonics West conference, 23 January 2011. Wang will speak on the basic principles of glass fusion processing and specialty fiber splicing as well as hardware and applications.
