GAO Tek Releases 1000Base-T SFP Copper Transceiver for SM Optical Fiber

Manufacturer of telecommunication testers, GAO Tek has launched a 1000Base-T SFP copper transceiver for use with single mode (SM) optical fibers. The HTSFP-24-111X transceiver provides full duplex data-links of 1000 Mbps with 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signals.

The HTSFP-24-111X is suitable for serial datacom and telecomm applications, and complies with Class B, FCC 47 SFR Part 15, SFP MSA, RoHS and SONET/SDH OC-48 specifications. In addition, it is compliant to the 1000BASE-T and Gigabit Ethernet standards of IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE802.3-2002 for 1.25 Gigabit across unshielded twisted-pair category-5 cable.

The copper transceiver consists of two sections, namely, a receiver section and a transmitter section. It functions at 1310 nm wavelength, provides increased immunity to interference, and consumes minimal power. The transmitter section of the transceiver includes a driver IC and FP with automatic power control circuit and temperature compensation. The HTSFP-24-111X’ receiver section has transimpedance and AGC for a broad dynamic rage, and includes an InGaAs/InP PIN photodiode.
