GAO Comm has introduced a new handheld signal level analyzer with a large LCD screen. The 8385 signal level analyzer is suitable for testing CATV signals in frequency (SPECTRUM) and channel (SCAN) modes.
The signal level analyzer determines trunk cable voltage, C/N, and CATV TILT precisely. It displays the tests and spectrum frequency range in the SPECTRUM mode and records signal levels in internal memory and scans channels in the SCAN mode. The analyzer has a number of features such as channel sorting, channel edition, channel plan selection, TILT channel setup, frequency setup, level unit setup and auto-off time setup.
The 8385 analyzer functions over 5 to 870 MHz frequency range and can scan a maximum of 125 channels at 30 channels/m speed within the operating frequency range. In addition, the device supports Windows XP and Vista and provides 30 to 120 dBìV at a precision of ±2.5 dBuV at -10°C to 40°C temperature range and ±1.5 dBuV of accuracy at indoor temperature. Furthermore, the analyzer can store 24 groups of data in the analyzer memory of 100 channels per group.
