GAO Fiber Optics Introduces 5601 Optical Multi-Meter

GAO Fiber Optics, provider of fiber-optic test instruments, has introduced a new optical multi-meter that allows technical support employees to test various devices with one unit.

5601 Optical Multi-meter

The optical multi-meter is used in fiber-optic lab testing, CATV maintenance and  telecommunication.

The 5601 handheld optical multi-meter combines an optical light source module and an optical power meter module and carries out closed-loop tests by utilizing both modules. Individual module can operate separately. The optical power meter module can function at wavelengths of 1550, 1310, 980 and 850 nm, while the laser source can function at wavelengths of 1550 and 1310 nm.

The optical multi-meter operates continuously for a minimum of four hours. The device shuts down automatically if it is inactive for 10 minutes. The energy-efficient optical multi-meter provides ST, SC and FC interchangeable connectors for selection. It also has various configurations of power meter and light source options.
