PRIMA North America to Produce Laserdyne Systems for New Aircraft Engines

PRIMA North America has received orders for six Laserdyne systems from a group of customers across the globe. As part of the new orders, the company will manufacture parts for turbine engine components repairing and new aircraft engines.

The order for six laser systems came from a China-based consumer in aerospace industry, a West Coast-based tier one distributor, and an East Coast engine producer. The tier one distributor ordered a Laserdyne system with a built-in fiber laser, while the aerospace consumer ordered a Laserdyne System795 system with a built-in CL50k laser. The East Coast engine producer has ordered two Laserdyne System 450s with CL50k lasers. All the systems will be utilized for manufacturing new engine components.

Another customer, a turbine engine component refurbishing company, has placed an order for a laser drilling system. The company offers engine maintenance support to numerous land-based turbine users. The drilling lasers are suitable for refurbishing the cooling holes in the turbine engines.
