JDSU Launches Xgig 16G Optical Fibre Channel Analyzer

Provider of communications measurement and test solutions, JDSU has unveiled a new FC testing optical device that helps to develop 16 G technology-compatible storage equipment.

The Xgig 16G Fibre Channel Analyzer offers quick and precise analysis of 16G optical fiber channel links by checking for errors. The solution enhances the network and equipment performance, and enables efficient data transmission.

The Xgig 16G Fibre Channel Analyzer offers manufacturers of network equipment a complete system to authorize interoperability, integration, and development features compliant to the 16G Fibre Channel standards. The 16G storage equipment provides high network bandwidth, minimal power consumption, and cost savings associated with the component numbers.

The Xgig solution offers a complete analysis by detecting network issues for all layers. The device captures 16G FC traffic at a full line rate and offers full system visibility. The Xgig 16G Fibre Channel Analyzer minimizes test bench setup and tool investment. In addition, the Xgig platform reduces converged network equipment verification via analysis of end-to-end traffic over multiple protocols such as Ethernet, FCoE, DCB and FC.
