ConverTec announced that it has launched a new TeraLaz CO2 Terahertz Laser System that offers a cost-effective solution in un-focused and focused applications. The laser system, in the un-focused state, has the ability to calculate water vapor in the closed chamber’s upper section.
This can also be applied to freeze bulk materials and dried components and other processing applications. In the focused state, the laser device can weld, stitch, score, drill and cut thin film materials for converting and packaging applications.
Terahertz radiation has various technological and theoretical uses in the manufacturing, scientific imagining, security and medical imaging fields.
According to ConverTec, the CO2 laser device is ideal for direct manufacturing processes such as process monitoring, validation, verification, characterization and quality control.
The CO2 laser device can be adapted into majority of installed processing, packaging, converting and manufacturing lines. ConverTec offers manufacturing and design engineering services to address the upgrading, modifying, automating and material handling needs.
