Interstate Electrical Services Receives Lighting Retrofit Project

The University System of New Hampshire has awarded a lighting retrofit project to Interstate Electrical Services. Interstate provides network systems, electrical services and electrical construction in New England.

The lighting contract would include the retrofitting of lighting in the buildings located on the Durham, Plymouth and Keene campuses. Under the contract, Interstate will provide lighting retrofits for the campuses.

The New Hampshire’s Office of Energy and Planning received $71 million for energy projects, out of which $10.7 million was given to minimize energy consumption in the building owned by NH State. Furthermore, $1.3 million was offered to the energy efficiency projects of USNH.

The Project Manager of USNH, Don Hagstrom stated that the installation of motion sensor switches and energy saving lighting would provide cost savings for the campuses. Hagstrom added that the retrofit contact would provide several benefits to the university system.
