Barco Launches 10 MP Display System with WideView LCD Technology

Barco, a company specializing in medical display products, has introduced a new display system that uses the IPS WideView LCD technology. The Coronis Fusion 10MP display system uses SmoothGray technology to display accurate grayscale images, and features all the merits of the company’s Coronis Fusion displays.

The IPS WideView LCD technology produces grayscale images with perfect geometry, and improved contrast and brightness. In addition, the technology offers an enhanced angle of view, and makes the monitor suitable for multi-user viewing applications.

The FDA 510 (k)-cleared Coronis Fusion 10MP utilizes the Fusion architecture to minimize eye fatigue and increase efficiency. The design of the display system allows radiologists to position the system as a single wide-screen 10 MP display or as two 5 MP displays. This option enables radiologists to review 40 full-resolution CT/MR images or X-ray chest images with high accuracy on one screen, or to compare current and previous mammography images.

The display system uses multiple temperature and backlight monitoring sensors to increase display lifetime and achieve consistency. The sensors operate efficiently with the-Guard front sensor and the Ambient Light Compensation sensor to set the system for stable performance.
